Kaitlin (Katie) Lee
Kaitlin Lee is a Research Associate and Newsletter Editor for the Children's Policy and Funding Initiative at Tides Center and is also a Research Fellow at Strategy for Humanity. Katie received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, concentrating on public policy and bioethics with a focus on international development and humanitarian aid policy. Katie’s research has centered on child-trafficking, refugee and asylum policies, and aid programs on international child development. She previously interned at United Way, International Justice Mission, and Justice Ventures International. At United Way, Katie wrote and served as an advocate for their programs on early childhood and adolescent development. Katie hopes pursue a career within the U.S government advocating for policies relating to civil society and international aid. As a Research Fellow for Strategy for Humanity, Katie is synthesizing learning and best practices on topics such as whole child development, meaningful youth engagement, and effective integration of diversity and anti-racist practices. While working as a Research Fellow, Strategy for Humanity was delighted to recommend Katie for employment at the Tides Center, a client, where she provides timely policy analysis and track advocacy developments. Katie is also pursuing a Juris Doctor at the Davis School of Law, University of California.
