The Children's Policy and Funding Initiative was launched by a group of philanthropic foundations interested in creating a joint effort in support of children and youth internationally. Recognizing that the U.S. Government has been an important source of foreign assistance and program delivery, these funders joined together with the goal of elevating and integrating children and young people as a central priority in U.S. diplomacy, programming, and funding.
Each participating foundation brings specialized interests and expertise to support children and youth. Together, they fund a variety of organizations that influence policy and legislative direction, provide important expertise and networks, and facilitate participation by affected communities. While the individual donors and grantees have unique areas of specialization, together they are a powerful force for change to meet the myriad needs of children throughout their lifecycle.
